Lore & Background

Le Paradox is a black-market art dealer skunk who sends Carmelita Fox back in time to impede her investigation of him. His plan is to forge documents in the past depicting a fake royal lineage to expand his fortune and influence, and to steal the Cooper ancestors' canes as revenge for his own family's misfortune as thieves. He kidnaps Carmelita and uses her as bait to capture Sly. He is eventually defeated atop his blimp and falls into the sea, but is later found and incarcerated. Sly is trapped aboard the blimp and disappears.

In Their Own Story

The air crackled with temporal energy as Le Paradox stepped from his balloon, a smug grin spreading across his face. Below him, ancient Paris sprawled untouched, its cobblestones gleaming under a gilded sun. 'Ah, zee Cooper line... so proud, so predictable,' he purred, clutching a glowing page like a stolen jewel. 'But soon, zere will be no Sly, no Thievius Raccoonus—only Le Paradox, zee greatest thief who ever lived!' He laughed, a sound like breaking glass, unaware that across time, Sly and his gang were already racing to stop him.

Reader's Guide

Le Paradox is the final boss of the game, fought in a multi-phase encounter aboard his time-traveling airship. The player must use the abilities of Sly and his ancestors to defeat him.
