Sly Cooper Codexery

Heist

Every game is a string of heists, each built from smaller missions.

Each Sly Cooper game is broken into a series of heists. To pull one off, Sly and his gang must complete several missions, and a heist usually ends with a boss fight.

Lore & Background

In Sly 2: Band of Thieves the player controls Sly, Bentley and Murray in each open world, pulling off small character-specific jobs that build into one large heist. Some need one character, others are collaborations, and an interactive mask marks where a new heist begins.

Reader's Guide

USgamer's Jeremy Parish called the series a rare heist game that balances requirements and freedom: jobs must be done in order, but how to do them is up to the player.

The design was guided by a line producer Brian Fleming wrote early on: "Sly and the gang work together to pull off a string of big heists." The aim was to make players feel they were in a heist film.
