Berlin is the setting of Shadowrun: Dragonfall, Harebrained Schemes' 2014 game first released as an expansion for Shadowrun Returns. In 2054 the player's shadowrunner arrives in the anarchic free state of Berlin to join a team led by an old colleague, Monika Schafer.

Reader's Guide
The team includes Dietrich, a punk rocker turned shaman, the augmented cyborg Glory and the troll weapons expert Eiger. Their first job, a data theft at Harfeld Mansion, uncovers a hidden military compound; Monika is killed after uttering the word Feuerschwinge, German for Firewing, and fixer Paul Amsel realises they were set up. The trail leads to the dragon Firewing, who once nearly destroyed Germany, and to Adrian Vauclair, who plans to release her on Berlin again.
