Reader's Guide
Players pick one of four races, Human, Elf, Dwarf or Troll, each with its own abilities and starting money, and spend currency during a match on weapons and gadgets known as tech. Magic is central: players can heal, damage, teleport and summon. The backstory has magic returning on December 24, 2012, and an RNA Global research team in Santos, Brazil, setting off a magical accident around an ancient ziggurat that destroyed half the city.
