Reader's Guide
Like a real computer the deck has statistics such as memory, storage and loading speed. Besides entering the Matrix it holds the hacking utilities, Masking, Attack and Analyzing programs among them, and stores the data downloaded there; a low-grade deck turns up early in the game alongside a credstick of 500 nuyen. In the SNES game the hero Jake uses one to hack computers for information and nuyen.
