Skyforge
An immortal's journey to godhood on a besieged planet.
Last updated
Set on the planet Aelion, it blends science fiction and fantasy as players become immortals striving to become gods to defend against alien invasions.[1] The game uses a prestige system instead of traditional levels, allowing players to switch between 17 classes at any time.[2][3] Allods Team and Obsidian Entertainment jointly developed the free-to-play massively multiplayer online role-playing game Skyforge, which was published by My.com and is no longer available.[1]
Making and release
Development of Skyforge began in 2010 by Allods Team, who previously created Allods Online.[4] In May 2013, Obsidian Entertainment was announced as a collaborator on the project.[4] A PlayStation 4 version was released on April 11, 2017, followed by an Xbox One release on November 29, 2017.[5] Skyforge is free-to-play but offers optional premium status and paid in-game content.[6]
February 4, 2021 marked the launch of Skyforge on the Nintendo Switch platform.[5] On April 9, 2019, the "New Horizons" update added the planet Terra and the Draconid enemy race to the game.[7]
What the cited sources add
The Massively Overpowered article reports that MY.GAMES decided to discontinue development of Skyforge, leading operator Innova/4game to close European and American servers.[8] That same source confirms the sunset dates of September 3, 2025 for PC and October 29, 2025 for console.[8]
