Background

After a traumatic adventure, Morty strikes a bet with Rick to lead one of his own. When the other Smiths ask Rick for solutions to their mundane problems, he gives them a Meeseeks Box, a gadget that summons blue humanoids all named Mr. Meeseeks, who live until they have completed the task they are given and then vanish. Rick warns the family to keep their tasks simple.

Jerry summons a Meeseeks to take two strokes off his golf game and struggles; the frustrated creature summons more, until a horde of Meeseeks concludes that the only way to complete the task is to kill Jerry. They storm a restaurant and take hostages, and the Meeseeks disappear only when Beth gets Jerry to show that his swing has improved. The title references "Seek & Destroy", the 1983 song by Metallica.
