Lore & Background

Elsa is after Emilia's insignia. She tries to buy it from Felt and Rom, but kills them when negotiations fail in the first and second timelines. She can sense fear in others. In the final timeline of the stolen insignia, Reinhard defeats her and she retreats, vowing to come after Subaru again.

Elsa returns in arc 4 with Meili Portroute to attack Roswaal's mansion, again causing several of Subaru's deaths. She is finally defeated by Garfiel, who does enough damage to overcome her regeneration and crushes her to death.
