The Royal Capital serves as the political and economic heart of the Kingdom of Lugunica. The Royal Capital of Lugunica was modeled on the city of Prague. It is the setting where Subaru Natsuki is suddenly summoned to a fantasy-like world. Just after arriving, he is killed while trying to help a young half-elf he befriends, Emilia, who is a candidate to become the next ruler of the Kingdom of Lugunica. The capital is where Subaru first experiences his power to turn back time after his death, and where he begins his journey to protect Emilia and help her ambition to be successfully appointed as the next queen.

It is the location of the Kingdom of Lugunica, where the royal selection process takes place for candidates like Emilia.
