Reception
Critics praised the game's solid design, strong sense of speed, accurate track recreations, and a replay system with multiple camera angles. However, GamePro noted that the lack of crashes involving other cars reduced the game's excitement. Electronic Gaming Monthly awarded it scores of 91% and 82%, highlighting its graphics, sound, and playability. A glitch lets vehicles shrink when the player presses both L and R buttons under specific conditions. This bug was reported in November 1995 by 11-year-old Donald R. Leandro Jr., who mailed Bulletproof Software. Company president Henk Rogers acknowledged the report, sent Leandro promotional items, and told him he would appear in company materials or a gaming magazine for finding the coding error.
