Fauns and Satyrs
Narnia's half-human, half-goat woodland folk.
Fauns and satyrs in Narnia are both half human and half goat. Lewis tamed the fauns of Greco-Roman myth, though they still love lively parties in the woods where they dance with the dryads.

Lore & Background
Mr Tumnus, a faun, is the first magical creature to appear in the series, in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, and was also the first character Lewis thought of for it. Satyrs look much like fauns but have redder fur and longer horns. The 2005 film made its satyrs more animal-like than its fauns, furred and goat-headed while still standing upright.
