The Shaolin Temple
Earthrealm's monastery and its Wu Shi Academy.
The Shaolin temple is home to Earthrealm's Shaolin monks, among them Liu Kang and Kung Lao. In Mortal Kombat II (1993) Baraka and his Tarkatan soldiers attack it, which drives the two monks to follow a portal into Outworld to avenge their fallen brothers.

Kung Lao's aim is to rebuild the White Lotus Society at the Wu Shi Academy and train a new generation of warriors. In Mortal Kombat X Raiden sends Kung Jin to train with the Shaolin there. In Mortal Kombat 11 Kronika's forces attack the Shaolin temple. In Mortal Kombat 1 Kung Lao becomes an instructor at the Wu Shi Academy after Titan Shang Tsung's defeat.
