Blaster

The silent giant who protects Master and challenges Aunty Entity's rule.

Blaster is the enormous, silent bodyguard of Master, a dwarf who runs Bartertown's Underworld methane refinery. Together they are known as "Master Blaster" and have begun to challenge Aunty Entity for control of Bartertown. Blaster is revealed to have an intellectual disability and is hypersensitive to high-pitched noises, a weakness Max exploits during their Thunderdome battle. Despite his size and strength, Blaster is ultimately killed on Aunty's orders after Max refuses to finish him.

Lore & Background

Blaster serves as Master's bodyguard, carrying the dwarf on his back as they ride through Bartertown. Master Blaster's control of the methane refinery gives them leverage against Aunty Entity, who wants Max to kill Blaster so she can subvert Master to her will. Max infiltrates Underworld to size up Master Blaster and discovers Blaster's vulnerability to high-pitched sounds when he sets off his own booby-trap alarm. In Thunderdome, Blaster dominates the fight until Max blows a whistle, causing Blaster to grab his head in pain. Max knocks Blaster's helmet off and prepares to kill him, but relents upon seeing that Blaster has an intellectual disability. Max reveals Aunty's plot, and Master threatens to shut down the refinery, so Aunty has Blaster killed.
