Synopsis

Chrissy is still waiting on that dream wedding, stuck dealing with Jim’s reluctance to fully commit. To make things worse, Jim’s mom Nancy dropped a diss track called “Psychotic” aimed at Chrissy, cashing in on an insult Chrissy threw during a fight the previous season. Emily finally walked away from Fab, fed up with his cheating ways. Olivia’s single “December” didn’t blow up the charts like she hoped, and she’s still without a record deal, which drives her manager Rich crazy.

Somaya is grinding hard to get her businesses off the ground, but things are tense with her manager Maurice. Emily throws an “emancipation” party to celebrate being free from Fab. Yandy, who’s been Jim’s manager for seven years, brings Kimbella—a video vixen and the mother of Juelz Santana’s child. At the party, Kimbella drops a bombshell: she slept with Fab three years ago, while Emily was pregnant with his kid.

Chrissy snaps, punches Kimbella in the face, and tries to stomp her head before security steps in. Chrissy blames Yandy for the whole mess, and Yandy’s bond with Chrissy and Jim starts to fall apart. Somaya hits her limit and fires Maurice. Olivia is stuck figuring out who she is as an artist.

Emily tries to move on as a single woman with help from her friend Teairra Marí, but when Fab shows up at her fashion show, she takes him back. Kimbella is dealing with Juelz’s cheating and her own mom issues, and she runs into a new rival in Erica Mena, another video vixen and model. Chrissy heads to Miami with the girls after making it clear to Jim that she won’t wait forever. Jim follows and surprises her with a proposal.

But the happiness doesn’t last—she runs into Yandy at a nightclub, and all chaos breaks loose. The season wraps with Emily taking a stand with Fab, Kimbella at a crossroads with Juelz, Somaya moving to Los Angeles, Olivia refusing to sell out her career for a record deal, and Jim and Chrissy cutting ties with Yandy for good. The season pulled in big numbers, averaging 2.8 million viewers per episode, making it VH1’s highest-rated show in over three and a half years and the eighth highest-rated cable series of 2011.
