Stone Ocean is the sixth major storyline in the Japanese manga series JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, created by Hirohiko Araki. The story takes place near Port St. Lucie, Florida, in 2011, and centers on Jolyne Cujoh, the daughter of Jotaro Kujo, who is serving a 15-year prison term at Green Dolphin Street Prison. After a follower of Dio steals her father's Stand ability and memories, Jolyne resolves to rescue him, escape from prison, and stop the thief's larger plans.
The manga was published in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump from December 7, 1999, to April 8, 2003, and later collected into 17 tankōbon volumes. During its original run, it was titled JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 6 Jolyne Cujoh: Stone Ocean. It comes after Golden Wind and before Steel Ball Run. Viz Media released the English digital version through its Shonen Jump service from January 2022 to December 2024, and printed the series in nine hardcover volumes between November 2023 and March 2025. A 38-episode anime adaptation, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean, streamed on Netflix from December 2021 to December 2022.
The plot begins when Jolyne Cujoh is convicted of second-degree murder and sentenced to 15 years in Green Dolphin Street Prison, framed for a crime her boyfriend committed. Before her arrest, she pricks her finger on a pendant from her father, which contains a fragment of a Stand-bestowing Arrow, awakening her Stand, Stone Free. Jotaro visits her and tries to break her out, explaining she was set up by a follower of Dio, but it is a trap. A Stand called Whitesnake extracts Jotaro's memories and Star Platinum as two discs, leaving him in a coma. Jolyne realizes her father truly loves her and decides to recover his discs from Whitesnake's user. She is joined by Emporio Alniño, a boy born in prison after Whitesnake killed his mother; Ermes Costello, who entered prison seeking revenge for her sister's death; and Foo Fighters, a sentient plankton colony originally created by Whitesnake to guard stolen Stand discs, which later takes over a dead inmate's body. Two more inmates join them: Weather Report, an amnesiac who controls the weather, and Narciso Anasui, who is obsessively in love with Jolyne.
Whitesnake's user is revealed to be the prison chaplain Enrico Pucci.

Lore & Background
Whitesnake's user is revealed to be prison chaplain Enrico Pucci, a follower of Dio. Pucci seeks Jotaro's memories to learn Dio's plan to establish heaven on Earth. After retrieving Jotaro's Stand disc, Jolyne discovers Whitesnake has revived one of Dio's bones, forming a homunculus called the Green Baby. Pucci fuses with the Green Baby and leaves for Cape Canaveral. Jolyne and her allies escape prison to pursue Pucci. Weather Report regains his memory and remembers being Pucci's long-lost twin brother. Pucci's Stand evolves into C-Moon and then Made in Heaven, which accelerates time. Most of the group is killed; Jolyne sacrifices herself so Emporio can escape. Emporio uses Weather Report's Stand to kill Pucci by increasing oxygen concentration. Made in Heaven's effect is undone, erasing Pucci and his universe. Emporio encounters reincarnations of his friends at a gas station.
