Charon
The New York Continental's concierge and Winston's loyal right hand.
Charon, played by Lance Reddick, is the concierge of the Continental Hotel in New York City, a friend of Winston Scott and an acquaintance of John Wick. He appears in the first four films and in Ballerina (2025), Reddick's final screen appearance, released two years after his death in March 2023.

Lore & Background
In John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, Winston provides John with weapons and the assistance of Charon and his staff when the High Table's enforcers attack the Continental. In Chapter 4, the Marquis Vincent Bisset de Gramont destroys the New York Continental and executes Charon, and John later meets Winston at Charon's gravesite. The video game John Wick Hex has John rescuing Winston and Charon.
Reader's Guide
In the prequel series The Continental, set in the 1970s, the young Charon O'Connor, Cormac O'Connor's surrogate son, is played by Ayomide Adegun. Critics compared Charon to the ferryman of Greek mythology, both serving to ferry people between worlds.
