Deadly Nadder
The dragon species of Astrid's Stormfly, with magnesium fire and tail spines.
The Deadly Nadder is a dragon species in the How to Train Your Dragon franchise. Astrid's dragon Stormfly is a blue female Deadly Nadder, and in the television series Snotlout's father Spitelout rides a Nadder named Kingstail. The Book of Dragons short places the Nadder, with the Timberjack, in the Sharp class of dragons.
Lore & Background
Stormfly breathes magnesium-fuelled fire and can launch spines from her tail. The series also features a yearly Nadder Migration, and in The Nine Realms a trio of rampaging Nadders drive other dragons from their home after someone steals Dragonsite from their nest.
