Caliban

The feudal home world of the Lion and the Dark Angels.

Caliban is an isolated, low-technology world that resembles a feudal medieval fantasy setting. The novel Descent of Angels, told from the viewpoint of the Caliban native Zahariel El'Zurias, covers the final battles of the Order under Jonson, the future Primarch Lion El'Jonson.

Lore & Background

The book's second half describes Caliban's unification with the Imperium of Man and the Dark Angels' actions in the early years of the Great Crusade. Later stories follow Luther, the Lion's second, and the disgraced Chapter Master Astelan as he works his way back to power on Caliban.
