In Their Own Story

In Cittàgazze, Will Parry met Lyra after stumbling into a city devoid of adults due to Spectres. When Lord Boreal stole Lyra's alethiometer, the pair ventured into Will's Oxford to retrieve it. Armed with the Subtle Knife, Will sliced through the barriers of reality, creating a window to Latrom's mansion. The knife allowed them to navigate between worlds, confronting the forces of the Church and the Magisterium. Later, as Lyra was kidnapped by Mrs Coulter in a cave, Will, aided by angels Balthamos and Baruch, used his position as the bearer to rescue her. He also utilized the knife's power while journeying with Tialys and Salmakia to the Land of the Dead, where they temporarily parted from their dæmons to release ghosts.
