Playing career
Mamin began his professional career in the Kontinental Hockey League with CSKA Moscow in the 2014-15 season, notching 5 goals and 10 points in 39 games as a rookie. In June 2017, he left CSKA to sign a two-year entry-level deal with the Florida Panthers, who assigned him to their AHL affiliate, the Springfield Thunderbirds. He earned his first NHL call-up on New Year's Day 2018, made his NHL debut on January 7 against the Columbus Blue Jackets, and was sent back to the AHL five days later. Recalled again on January 29, he scored his first NHL goal on February 22 against the Washington Capitals. The following season, Mamin went scoreless in seven games with the Panthers. Unable to lock down a regular spot, Florida loaned him back to CSKA Moscow on November 19, 2018, for the rest of the season. He managed 3 points in 25 regular-season games but made his mark in the playoffs by netting the championship-winning goal against Avangard Omsk to capture the Gagarin Cup. As a restricted free agent, Mamin chose to stay with CSKA on a two-year contract starting April 30, 2019. After that deal expired, he had grown into a reliable scorer for the club and opted to return to the NHL, signing a one-year, $975,000 contract with the Panthers on July 28, 2021. That season, he served as a depth forward and set personal NHL bests with 7 goals and 14 points in 40 games for the Presidents' Trophy-winning Panthers. When his contract ended, he went back to Russia and rejoined CSKA Moscow on a three-year deal on July 13, 2022. After that stint concluded, he left CSKA for the first time since his debut, signing a two-year contract with local rival Dynamo Moscow on July 15, 2025.
