Sword of Gryffindor

The goblin-made sword of Godric Gryffindor.

The Sword of Gryffindor is a goblin-made sword and a relic of Godric Gryffindor. Harry draws it from the Sorting Hat to kill the basilisk in Chamber of Secrets, an echo of the sword in the stone legend. Having absorbed basilisk venom, it can destroy Horcruxes: Dumbledore uses it on Voldemort's ring, and in Deathly Hallows a silver doe Patronus leads Harry to it and Ron destroys the locket with it.
