Gravity Falls is an animated mystery comedy created by Alex Hirsch for Disney Channel and Disney XD. Twins Dipper (Jason Ritter) and Mabel (Kristen Schaal) spend the summer with their Grunkle Stan (Hirsch) in Gravity Falls, Oregon, a town full of paranormal events, helping run his tourist trap, the Mystery Shack, while digging into the local mysteries.

Lore & Background
It ran for two seasons, from June 15, 2012, to February 15, 2016. In November 2015 Hirsch announced it would end with season two by his own choice: the show was 'being finished', not cancelled. Later books carry the story on: the replica Journal 3 (2016), the graphic novel Lost Legends (2018) and the novel The Book of Bill (2024).
