Plot

The episode begins with Mabel rushing into the Mystery Shack holding a newspaper, thrilled that her fashion designs will be featured. But Grunkle Stan points out that Pacifica Northwest, Mabel’s rival, is on the front page instead, which deflates Mabel’s mood. Meanwhile, Soos experiments with a new clothing style by cutting “W-neck” t-shirts. While drinking orange juice in a frustrated manner, Mabel hears a TV ad for a mini-golf venue. Dipper, aware of Mabel’s talent for mini-golf, suggests they go there to lift her spirits. The group agrees and travels to the mini-golf palace.

At the course, Dipper plays poorly, while Mabel demonstrates her impressive skills. On the final hole, she attempts a hole-in-one to break her personal record but misses. Soon after, Pacifica and her parents appear, and Pacifica mocks them. An argument leads Mabel to challenge Pacifica to a match, but the owner announces the course is closing. Pacifica then proposes they meet at midnight, and Mabel accepts. Later, at a restaurant, Mabel feels discouraged about losing, but Dipper encourages her. The crew returns at midnight, and Grunkle Stan gives Mabel a sticker reading “You Da Best” with a trophy design.

As Mabel practices, Dipper hears a strange noise from a windmill on a hole after Mabel fails to make a shot. He breaks the windmill open and discovers tiny beings with golf-ball heads called Lilliputtians, who control the entire course. The Lilliputtians also dislike Pacifica, but they begin arguing among themselves about which hole is the best. After a scuffle, they decide to let Mabel choose the best hole, offering her sticker as a prize, which grabs their attention. Dipper then convinces Mabel to have the Lilliputtians sabotage Pacifica’s game, with the hole that does the best sabotage being declared the winner.
