Horse lords of the Dothraki Sea.
The Dothraki are warlike nomads of the Dothraki Sea, a vast flat grassland in Essos, with their own language and culture. They live in hordes called khalasars, each led by a khal and split into groups called khas under captains called kos.

Every khal owes fealty to the dosh khaleen, a council of royal priestesses made up of the widows of former khals. A khal's consort is called a khaleesi during his reign.
