Production and release
Tony Mitchell began working on the series in February 2014, as he noted in a social media post. It was later reported that Mitchell, Andrew Power, and Dylan Edward originally created the series while working at Copernicus Studios. In June 2021, Zephyr Animation secured a co-development deal with Super RTL in Germany, with both companies co-developing the series aimed at children ages six to nine. At that time, Jessica Borutski was directing, while David Sauerwein and Paul Rigg were executive producing. It was later stated that Franz Kirchner would direct and Baljeet Rai would develop the series. In September 2022, Animation Magazine reported that Zephyr Animation was completing financing for the series, their first 2D animated series, co-produced with Copernicus Studios, with production to begin before 2022 ended. Previously, production had been stated to start in 2021. At the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in June 2023, APC Kids stated production had recently begun. In June 2023, Zephyr Animation secured pre-sales with Warner Bros. Discovery in EMEA, Super RTL in Germany, Gulli in France, and CBC in Canada, while APC Kids held worldwide distribution rights. Paul Rigg was described as a series executive producer. In April 2024, the series was noted as benefiting from the CMF-Shaw Rocket Fund, which supported animated series; it had received funding from the Shaw Rocket Fund in 2021. In October 2024, APC Kids Managing Director Lionel Marty said they were excited to launch the series at MIPCOM and MIPJunior. The series was originally scheduled for 2023 but did not release then. It began airing on CBC Gem on December 20, 2024, and on the Family Channel on January 12, 2025, and streams on CBC Kids' YouTube Channel. It is scheduled to air on RTL Super, Gulli, and an unnamed Warner Bros. Discovery platform in the second financial quarter of 2025.
