2016 Voting Reform
From 2016 the jury and public points are announced separately.
The voting overhaul of 2016 split each country's points into two full sets - one from its professional jury and one from the public televote - announced separately. Before it, zero scores were never read out; since then a song can score nothing in one of the two votes. From 2016 to 2018 the public points were revealed from the lowest-scoring country upwards, and since 2019 in order of the jury ranking, starting with the song the juries placed lowest. Under the new system, Australia became the first country to pass 500 points without winning.
