Null Points
Finishing with no points at all - the contest's most famous flop.
"Nul points" is the result of a song that ends the night without a single point. Before the 2016 voting overhaul, zero scores were not read out by the presenters; since 2016, with separate jury and public votes, a song can score nothing in one of the two. The first time a host country finished on zero was The Makemakes' "I Am Yours". Tim Moore's book Nul Points interviews several such performers about how the result affected their careers.
