The Martinaise hostel cafeteria where Harry wakes up.
The Whirling-in-Rags is the hostel cafeteria at Martinaise North 22 where Harry Du Bois wakes at the start of Disco Elysium. Run by Lawrence Garte and frequented mostly by dockworkers, it has a hall with tables and pinball machines, a small stage and bar, a kitchen, a union meeting room and three guest rooms upstairs. Its name comes from a lyric in Sea Power's song "Hail Holy Queen".
Background
The building was once an arcade, East Delta Pinball, with a pinball workshop on the upper floors, and its pre-Revolution tile work survived the Coalition's destruction. Before losing his memory Harry spent days drunk there, wrecking his room and driving the bartender Sylvie Malaìika to quit.
