Detroit Tigers fandom
A century of roars from the Motor City.
The Detroit Tigers fandom is one of the oldest and most passionate in Major League Baseball, stretching back to the team's founding as a charter member of the American League in 1901.
The fan culture is deeply rooted in the physical spaces where the team has played—first at the old Bennett Park grounds, then at the legendary Navin Field (later Briggs Stadium, then Tiger Stadium) from 1912 to 1999, and now at Comerica Park since 2000.
