Lore & Background

The P2000 trains were ordered to supplement the fleet of the C Line, then known as the Green Line. They originally serviced the Gold Line, but were later transferred to the Blue Line (now A Line) in 2012. P2000 trains continue to operate on the A Line as of 2024, and were expected to operate for an additional 15 years following an overhaul program that began in 2020. However, new plans call for the complete replacement of the P2000 by 2031, spearheaded by constant mechanical failures.

In Their Own Story

The server hummed. Forty-five seconds on the clock, and the round was still a coin in the air. Kova checked his P2000, felt the familiar weight of the slide, and let his thumb trace the magazine release out of habit. Thirteen rounds. He'd need eleven, maybe twelve, depending on how the T-side stacked A-main.

The flashbang landed with a white pop that swallowed his vision for half a second. He blinked it away, swung the pistol around the corner, and saw the first Terrorist's helmet just clearing the box. One shot. The 140-point headshot cracked the armor and the body dropped before the second enemy could react. Kova didn't celebrate. He cycled the slide, felt the next round seat, and stepped forward.

The second one was closer. Two shots to the chest, each one a clean 35, and the man folded. The third was behind a crate, and Kova heard the mag dump — six, seven, eight shots — before silence. He rounded the cover, pistol still warm, and found the third Terrorist staring at his own dropped AWP.

"One round," Kova said, and the server chat filled with the quiet, satisfied typing of a team that had just won the pistol round for the right reason. No luck. No Deagle gamble. Just a pistol, a headshot, and the discipline to follow it up.

Reader's Guide

The P2000 trains feature automatic train control, air conditioning, emergency intercoms, wheelchair spaces, and emergency braking. Refurbished cars feature new door control systems, communication systems, and HVAC technology. They are capable of multiple-unit operation with some other light rail vehicles in service on the Metro Rail system, including the P3010 and the now-retired Nippon Sharyo P865. P2000 light rail vehicles are equipped with automatic train operation technology, though the trains are manually operated.
