Lore & Background

The game is set in the Fairy Panther King's Kingdom. The Panther King rules the land. His servant, Professor Von Kriplespac, creates a creature named Heinrich, which bursts out of the Panther King's chest, killing him. Von Kriplespac then reveals they are inside a spaceship and instructs Heinrich to attack Conker.

Reader's Guide

The player controls Conker through three-dimensional levels. Gameplay involves completing a linear sequence of challenges such as jumping, solving puzzles, and fighting enemies. Conker can run, jump, smack enemies with a frying pan, swim underwater, climb ladders or ropes, and push objects. Context-sensitive pads grant temporary abilities. A multiplayer mode allows up to four players in seven game types: Beach, Raptor, Heist, War, Tank, Race, and Deathmatch.

• Development lasted four years, with concepts originating during the development of Killer Instinct Gold in 1996.
• The game was initially titled Twelve Tales: Conker 64 and intended for a family audience before being transformed into an adult-oriented version.
• Conker's Bad Fur Day was released in North America on 5 March 2001, and in Europe on 6 April 2001.
• A remake, Conker: Live & Reloaded, was released for the Xbox in 2005, and the original was included in Rare Replay for Xbox One in 2015.
