Toy Story of Terror! is an American animated Halloween television special based on the Toy Story franchise, produced by Pixar Animation Studios and Disney Television Animation.[1] It premiered on ABC on October 16, 2013, and is set after the events of Toy Story 3.[1]
Making and release
The special was originally intended as a 7-minute short film as part of the Toy Story Toons series.[2] It was written and directed by Angus MacLane and produced by Galyn Susman.[1] The voice cast includes Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Joan Cusack, Don Rickles, Wallace Shawn, Timothy Dalton, Kristen Schaal, and Carl Weathers.[3] The special was released on Blu-ray and DVD on August 19, 2014.[4]
Walt Disney Records made the soundtrack accessible for digital purchase on October 15, 2013.[5][6] Disney+ added the special to its streaming service on October 23, 2020.[4][7]
