Plot

In the small town of Calvary, ice spears rain down. Before Jacey's grandmother dies, she gives Jacey a mystical ring and explains that Jacey is the chosen one to stop the Maya prophecy of the world ending on December 21, 2012. Jacey, born at Christmas, has parents named Joseph and Mary. The solution lies in the hidden message of the song "The 12 Days of Christmas," where each day corresponds to a disaster and the "five gold rings" provide a messianic gift.

Reception

The film received negative ratings, though critics found it entertaining despite its lack of quality. The New York Times gave it an F in traditional categories like dialogue and coherence but awarded an A+ for serving as a counterweight to syrupy holiday fare. The New York Daily News gave one star out of five, stating the film stays true to its path without concern for dialogue or plot. The A.V. Club gave a D rating, noting it comes closer to so-bad-it's-good territory than any recent SyFy Original Movie.
