Badger or Bust

Episode guide

The first episode aired on 8 May 2007, with Badger visiting Redseven, a Stag and Hen weekend party planning operator in Brighton. Redseven received one thousand leads weekly but converted only 12% into deals. Badger focused on new sales team members, identified a knowledge gap, set apprentice-like tasks to build confidence, and created low-stakes competitions to test productivity. The second episode, broadcast 15 May 2007, took Badger to Dereham to improve caravan sales at Greentrees Adventure Store. She dealt with an MD who did not know the day of the week and a lazy, squabbling three-man sales team; she clashed with a rude sales team member and helped another build confidence. On 23 May 2007, Badger visited Bradford to assist Rooms with a View, a seller of windows, doors, and conservatories. Her ideas had such impact that upon returning she found the firm had been wound up and closed. The episode broadcast 30 May 2007 featured estate agent Kilostate in Norwood, where manager Dal's branch handled about two sales and ten lettings monthly, with 15 properties on its books versus over 100 at rivals. Badger suggested sales training, leaflets, better communication, and sales targets. On 6 June 2007, Badger caused mayhem riding a small portable bicycle and encountered problems with the boys and a sales floor resembling a funeral parlour. The final episode, aired 13 June 2007, saw Badger visit Camberley Curtains in her hometown of Wolverhampton, attempting to establish them with Inside Right Ltd, one of the UK's largest interior design companies.
