The Call Centre
BBC fly-on-the-wall documentary about a Welsh call centre.
The Call Centre is a BBC fly-on-the-wall documentary series that follows staff at the call centre of a Welsh company called Save Britain Money. Based in Swansea's Enterprise Zone, the centre employed approximately 600 people and was owned by Bhupinder Sidhu, run by Neville (Nev) Wilshire. Two series and a Christmas special aired on BBC Three from 2013 to 2014, totalling 12 episodes. The programme gained attention for Wilshire's practice of opening the working day with a mass sing-along and for a £225,000 fine the company received in 2013 for breaching cold-calling regulations. A spin-off, Nev's Indian Call Centre, aired in 2016 on Watch.
