Gamma Columbae
Possible wide binary with a rare post-fusion subgiant primary.
Gamma Columbae is a possible wide binary star system in the southern constellation of Columba, visible to the naked eye with an apparent visual magnitude of 4.36. The primary is an evolved B-type subgiant that has just finished hydrogen fusion, a rare and brief structural readjustment phase lasting on the order of ten thousand years.
