Beta Muscae, also known by its Latin designation β Muscae, is a binary star system located in the southern circumpolar constellation Musca. With a combined apparent magnitude of 3.07, it ranks as the second brightest star system in that constellation. It sits roughly 105 ± 4 parsecs from Earth and belongs to the Scorpius–Centaurus association. The system is classified as a runaway star because it moves at a high peculiar velocity of 43.9 km/s relative to the normal rotation of the galaxy.
