In Their Own Story
On 28 April 2017, the structure for the Berlin final was finalized, determining where each team's supporters would gather. Borussia Dortmund received the home dressing room allocation, and their fan section was fixed at the Marathontor. To facilitate the pre-match atmosphere, the Breitscheidplatz was connected to this sector specifically for the 'Fanfest'. This setup allowed the 21,000 tickets allocated to Dortmund fans to be utilized effectively within their designated zone. The event also featured a trophy tour that concluded in Berlin days before the final, where the DFB announced Katarina Witt as the bearer for the cup on match day.
Reader's Guide

Teams were drawn against each other, and the winner after 90 minutes would advance. If still tied, 30 minutes of extra time was played. If the score was still level, a penalty shoot-out was used to determine the winner.
