The club's roots trace back to Foyer alsacien Mulhouse, which won national titles in 1924, 1925, 1926, and 1928, and to Mulhousien, which won in 1935, 1937, and 1938. In 1949, Foyer alsacien Mulhouse merged with Espérance de Mulhouse to form Mulhouse Basketball Club (MBC). A further merger in 1970 with GENS Mulhouse led to a relegation to National 4, but the club quickly climbed back, reaching National 2 in 1974 with the title of champion of France National 3.
