Production
Qualifiers were recorded in a warehouse with no live audience, and contestants were led to believe they were auditions. The scoring system was replaced by votes for qualifiers and duels. Contestants needed at least two yeses to advance to the duels, and judges could cast a callback vote giving a final chance to perform again. Team divisions were merged into junior and upper, leaving only two divisions. In duels, judges picked opponents and contestants learned the decision upon entering the room; a guest judge selected head-to-head redemption duel participants.
