Format
Shakira, Koshy, and Jonas are described as "creators" rather than "judges" or "coaches." Each show features 12 contestants competing for a $25,000 prize. Each episode features six rounds of competition; in each round, all contestants dance to the same song. The rounds are: All Eyes On You, where one creator demonstrates a series of dance moves and each contestant must perform them solo, with the top eight vote-getters automatically advancing and creators saving two of the remaining contestants.
Freestyle Battle Round has the remaining 10 contestants compete in pairs in a freestyle battle; the audience chooses a winner from each battle, and the creators save three of the losing contestants. The Dance Along divides eight contestants into two groups of four to perform choreography from a special celebrity guest; the audience chooses one group to move on, and the creators save two contestants from the losing group. Duo Collabs splits six dancers into three pairs to perform a dance incorporating moves from the creators; the audience selects one pair to advance, and the creators can save any two contestants from the losing pairs.
The Shake-Up has the four remaining contestants dance simultaneously while facing a different twist each episode, such as using a prop or an iconic dance move; the audience selects the two finalists. Be the Creator requires the final two to perform a dance they choreographed at home, with the audience voting for the winner.
