Plot
The Biskitts are tiny anthropomorphic dogs living on Biskitt Island, tasked with guarding the crown jewels of Biskitt Castle. Modeled after Robin Hood, they serve their deceased king and perform good deeds for the island's underprivileged. Other kings entrust their treasures to the Biskitts due to their reputation for security. The villain, King Max, rules neighboring Lower Suburbia and schemes to steal the treasure with his hench-hounds Fang and Snarl, his jester Shecky, and a wildcat named Scratch.

Waggs, voiced by Darryl Hickman, leads the Biskitts on missions and is Sweets' boyfriend. Sweets, voiced by Kathleen Helppie-Shipley, is kind and helpful. Shiner, voiced by Jerry Houser, is lazy and jealous of Waggs, but has a hidden kind side. Lady, voiced by B.J. Ward, is posh and likes decorating. Bump, voiced by Bob Holt, is strong but dim and clumsy, and befriends Scat. Downer, voiced by Henry Gibson, is unhappy and cowardly, and does Shiner's work. Wiggle, voiced by Jennifer Darling, helps with events and likes Shiner. Spinner, voiced by Bob Holt, is the oldest and wisest Biskitt, knowledgeable about the swamp. Scat, voiced by Dick Beals, is industrious and brave. Mooch, voiced by Marshall Efron, is gluttonous. Rover, voiced by Peter Cullen, is a pirate-like Biskitt who has been away. Flip, voiced by Bob Holt, is laid-back. Fetch, voiced by Kenneth Mars, is silly-looking. Princess Biskitt is kidnapped by King Max to trap the Biskitts; the female Biskitts save her and the males.
Children's book
A children's book based on The Biskitts reveals that King Max's jester Shecky resembles King John, one of the kings who entrusted treasure to the Biskitts. Max plots to have Shecky impersonate King John to withdraw the treasure, with Max pretending to be his slave. Although they initially fool the Biskitts, Shecky enjoys goofing off and making Max do chores, mirroring the demeaning labor Max forced on Shecky.
