Prelude
The movement was led by former Federal Erusea Air Force officers who called themselves Free Erusea.[2] ISAF command chose Mobius 1 because his combat capabilities were judged equal to an entire ISAF fighter squadron.[2]
Summary
The operation involved combat at locations such as Mount Shezna and Newfield Island.[3] Helicopters, fighters, and transport aircraft made up the bulk of Free Erusea's forces, and they depended on aerial attacks because they had few ground troops.[3] The rebels set up their command center inside the seized munitions factory, which contained an airstrip, naval shipyards, and petroleum facilities.[3] Toward the end of the conflict, a group of experimental X-02 Wyverns—unmanned aircraft fitted with sophisticated avionics—confronted Mobius 1.[3]
Aftermath
Data on the X-02 fighter program was recovered and used to advance ISAF Air Force technology.[4] The uprising ended with an ISAF victory and the disorganization of Free Erusea, though the group later regained strength and became a global threat by 2014.[4][5]
