Last updated

Deadly is an Australian animated children's series that ran on the Nine Network between 2006 and 2010. The show, produced by SLR Productions and Yoram Gross Productions, was funded by the Film Finance Corporation Australia Ltd. It adapts the Deadly! book series by Morris Gleitzman and Paul Jennings, following Sprocket and Amy as they thwart the plans of the Brats.

Summary

Twelve-year-old Amy must care for her mother, who has been turned into a two-year-old. Sprocket, a runaway searching for his family with only a faded photo, joins her. Meanwhile, seeds of a blue tea plant have entered the river system, threatening to grow plants that grant eternal youth. Together, Amy and Sprocket raise Toddler Mum, fight Pooper Scooper and his malevolent family, and try to destroy the world-destroying mutating tea plants.

Characters

Sprocket, voiced by Sarah Aubrey, is the protagonist who comes to town seeking the woman in a picture he has carried since infancy. Amy, also voiced by Sarah Aubrey, is a local girl whose mother was turned into a baby by the Turner brats. Leslie, or Toddler Mum, voiced by Rachel King, is Amy's mother now an infant who retains some adult memories. The Turner Brats are the antagonists, seeking the blue plant's germination secret.

Pooper Scooper, or Orson, voiced by Michelle Doake, is their self-proclaimed leader. Reptile, or Hilda, voiced by Sarah Aubrey, is the group's girl. Beanie, or Barnabas, voiced by Rachel King, is the most sensible of the brats.
