Playing career
Nogier started his major junior career with the WHL's Saskatoon Blades in 2011 and stayed there until a trade sent him to the Red Deer Rebels on December 14, 2014. During his last year of junior hockey, he posted personal bests of 4 goals, 17 assists, 21 points, and a plus-minus of +27. He also won the 2013–14 Daryl K. (Doc) Seaman Trophy as the WHL's top scholastic player. The Winnipeg Jets picked him in the fourth round, 101st overall, of the 2014 NHL draft. After wrapping up his junior eligibility with the Rebels, who hosted the 2016 Memorial Cup, he inked a three-year, two-way entry-level deal with the Jets. He went to Winnipeg's 2016 preseason camp but was sent down to the AHL's Manitoba Moose in the first round of cuts. Nogier spent most of his first pro season with the Moose, got called up late, and made his NHL debut on March 21, 2017, appearing in 10 games. His six-year run with the Jets ended on March 21, 2022, when he was traded to the Los Angeles Kings for Markus Phillips. That summer, as a free agent, he chose to play overseas, signing a one-year contract with KHL club Barys Nur-Sultan on September 13, 2022. In the 2022–23 season, he notched 8 points in 49 regular-season games for Astana. On September 9, 2024, he signed a one-year deal with the Straubing Tigers of the German DEL.
