SilkWing Silk and Flamesilk

SilkWings in Wings of Fire hatch without wings. At six years old they go through a Metamorphosis: they spin a cocoon and emerge about five days later with two pairs of wings and silk glands in their wrists.

Some SilkWings, such as Blue and Luna, can make flamesilk, which the HiveWings used to make glass and light the Hives. Flamesilk dragons are not burned by flamesilk but are not immune to ordinary fire.
