The Great Ice Dragon

A godlike figure of IceWing legend, sworn by and never explained.

The Great Ice Dragon is an old IceWing legend in Wings of Fire. The books never say who or what the Great Ice Dragon is, but author Tui T. Sutherland has confirmed that IceWings treat it as a godlike figure.

IceWings often swear by the Great Ice Dragon's name, and they believe the aurora borealis over their kingdom comes from its frostbreath.
