Necromunda
A polluted hive world whose underhive gang wars gave Games Workshop's Necromunda its name.
Necromunda is a planet of the Warhammer 40,000 universe and the setting of Necromunda, a skirmish tabletop game first released by Games Workshop in 1995 and relaunched as Necromunda: Underhive in 2017. The world is covered in polluted ash wastes, the result of thousands of years of heavy industry without environmental safeguards.

Lore & Background
Scattered across the wastes are between six and nine vast hive cities (the sources disagree), each resembling a termite mound many miles high. In the game, players control rival gangs fighting in the Underhive, the lawless, polluted depths beneath a hive city, and build up their gangs between battles over a campaign.
