Plot

Someone breaks into Grim's trunk and releases his Mojo Balls, orbs of dark magic that infect anyone who touches them with supernatural rage, causing everyone in Endsville to fight. Billy, Mandy, Grim, and Irwin travel to various locations from the series to recover the Mojo Balls and find clues, defeating others infected by mojo rage. They are led back to Billy's house, where they recover the last mojo from a brain-eating meteor. The others discover Billy opened the trunk hoping to free "Moe and Joe"; a curse Grim had placed on the trunk caused Billy to sprout chicken feathers, leaving a trail so he would not get lost. Mandy breaks the fourth wall to express hope the game includes a mode where they can all beat him up, and the player can control Mandy to attack Billy during the credits.

Development and release

In 2005, Midway secured a deal with Cartoon Network to create games for three shows, one of which was The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy. Most of the show's voice actors returned for the game, though Maurice LaMarche took over the role of Jack O'Lantern from Wayne Knight. "Weird Al" Yankovic, who voiced Squidhat in the series, provided the voice for the in-game announcer. Gregory Hinde and Drew Neumann, the show's composers, handled the game's music, which included two tracks from the series: "Darkness" by SPF 1000 and "Brains!" by Voltaire. The GameCube and PlayStation 2 versions hit stores in September 2006, with a Game Boy Advance version following in October and a Wii version in November as a launch title. Only the Wii version saw release outside the United States, arriving in Europe and Australia in March 2007. A planned Windows version was scrapped. The PlayStation 2 release included a bonus DVD featuring the episode "Little Rock of Horrors" and behind-the-scenes content.
