The Interstellar Manufacturing Corporation (IMC) is the corporate faction of Titanfall. It started small in natural resource extraction under the name Hammond Engineering, and a century of acquisitions, mergers and re-brandings, helped by Hammond's planetary survey technology and map database rights, turned it into a ruthless commercial empire. It came to the resource-rich Frontier for business and is dedicated to maximizing profits and shareholder wealth, using the legal application of force when necessary.
Lore & Background
In the first game the IMC's Frontier forces are led by Vice Admiral Marcus Graves, intel specialist Sergeant Kuben Blisk and the AI Spyglass, and Graves uses an attack on a colony suspected of hiding Militia forces to test the Spectre robot infantry; the war with the Militia is known as the Titan Wars. After James MacAllan destroys the fueling facility on Demeter, the IMC is weakened by the lack of reinforcements from the core systems but remains a dominant fighting force. In Titanfall 2 General Marder of its science division contracts Blisk's Apex Predators and prepares the Fold Weapon, powered by the Ark, to destroy the Militia planet Harmony.
